HERITAGE SCHOOL

The Museum’s bi-monthly Saturday program celebrates McMinn County’s heritage through presentations, demonstrations, and classes. The public is invited to attend folk art demonstrations such as chair caning, woodworking, broom making, quilting, and more. Presentations feature a variety of subjects pertaining to local heritage and the history of southeast Tennessee. Heritage school is sponsored by the C. Scott and Muriel Mayfield Foundation, the Hugh M. Willson Family Foundation, and the Tennessee Arts Commission. Admission is $5 or free for Museum Members. This fee includes admission to tour the museum.

HISTORY FOR LUNCH

This program is presented on the fourth Thursday of each month. Visitors may bring lunch or a snack and enjoy a presentation or interview featuring individuals who have helped shape our community and programs that enrich the knowledge of local heritage. The presenter will often participate in a Q&A following the presentation. History for Lunch is sponsored by the Hugh M. Willson Family Foundation and the C. Scott and Muriel Mayfield Foundation. Admission to this program is free for all visitors. Admission to tour the museum is not included.
