We sat down with Chef Alex, the visionary behind Homemakase, to learn more about the exclusive 15-course sushi dinner experience he’s bringing to The Food Hub for two unforgettable nights.The Experience
Homemakase is like bringing a high-end dining experience to Athens. It’s a private, curated dining experience where we serve a 15-course Japanese meal — mostly sushi — using ingredients flown in directly from Japan. But it’s not just about the food; it’s about the story. Chef Alex guides guests through each course, explaining the origin, preparation, and meaning behind it. It’s intimate, intentional, and really about connecting people through a shared culinary journey.Homemakase is more of an experience than just a meal. Each course is served one at a time, with an explanation of the ingredients, the technique, and the story behind it.The ingredients are flown in directly from Japanese markets, so the quality is on another level. We also limit each dinner to a small group — just 12 to 16 guests — to keep it personal and interactive. It’s not about ordering off a menu or rushing through a dinner; it’s about slowing down, tasting everything with intention, and learning the stories behind what you’re eating.

Homemakase will be hosted at The Food Hub in Athens, Tennessee for two exclusive evenings of immersive Japanese dining.

Time: 5:30 PM — Each dinner lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
Tickets: $270 per guest
(Price includes gratuity.)
Tickets go on sale this Friday for the July sitting at 5:30 PM on the Main Street Athens website.
